The Blue Devils were forced to change their offensive style due to all three starting offensive linemen not making the trip to Michigan. The Devils relied on a spread offensive for much of the weekend and proved that they were able to move the ball with success throughout the tournament. A one point loss in the opening round to Players Inc. (Chicago, IL) knocked the Blue Devils into the losers bracket. The Devils went on to defeat Empire (Cleveland, OH) 22-6 in the following game before meeting up with Red Zone (Cleveland, OH) in the next round. This game was another classic battle between the two Ohio teams with the Devils winning on the last play of the game as A.J. Saul connected with Elliott Giles for the winning score. The Devils found themselves matched up with Players Inc. once again on Sunday morning. The game proved to be different than the first as both offenses were able to find success throughout the game. The Blue Devils led late in the game 20-12, but a late rally by Players Inc. forced the game into overtime. After 2 OT's Players Inc. prevailed 33-32 to end the Devils title hopes as they finished in 4th place.
