This
Labor Day weekend, the Youngstown Flag Football Association
held its second cash tournament of the summer. Again, teams
from all over the Midwest region of the country made their
way to Youngstown, OH to play some of the best talent in the
country. There's no doubt that the goal for every other team
in the tournament was to knock off the Blue Devils. The Devils
have had of the best 4on4 tournament runs in recent history
in the Midwest leading up to this event; winning the last 3
tournaments they've played in. However, winning this time around
would prove to be harder than the others.
After
losing their starting defensive back Dom Bowell with a knee
injury, the Devils fell to Joe's Pros (Youngstown, OH) in their
other round robin game. The Penguins, another team based in
Youngstown, played well in round robin and earned the #1 seed
for the playoffs. So it was only right that those two teams
met in the title game. Despite all the adversity, the Devils
found a way to win and yet again, took home the cash.
